OpenMokoProjects Project News HighlightsBuilt an ipk with bitbake
http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=456
I created a bitbake recipe to build from CVS and generate an ipk. The recipe is in SCM and the ipk is in Files. ThumbtribesJohn MooreSat, 10 May 2008 1:51:04 GMTTotal rewrite
http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=449
I've done a total rewrite of the whole app.
It should work much more fluent now, and be much more lightweight.
I've added real key emulation, not just stupid textboxes.
Made a good layout editor, that makes it a breeze to change the layout for your preferences.
Hope you like it!

http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=408
For a sample of how a video streamed over GPRS looks, check out http://cb22.za.net/videos/sample.mkv
By sheer coincidence it just happens to be 1,337kb in size.Simple YouTube PlayerFederico LorenziFri, 04 Apr 2008 9:26:17 GMTStreaming video over GPRS possible!
http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=407
Thanks to the magic of H264 and Vorbis, streaming video over GPRS seems to be possible! After playing around with different encoding settings for a while, it seems that 30kbit/s H264 video, with 12kbit/s Vorbis akudio at a resolution of 160x128 produces a video that is watchable when streamed via GPRS! Many thanks to SpeedEvil and ahven from #openmoko for testing! Unfortunately however, the GTA01 seems to be too underpowered to play this video back at 320x240 with scaling, so further tweaking of the encoding options (b frames and the like) will be needed.Simple YouTube PlayerFederico LorenziFri, 04 Apr 2008 9:26:09 GMTMokoMakefile has moved back here
http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=403
MokoMakefile has moved back to projects.openmoko.org (it was here originally, but anon svn checkout was broken so I had to move it to nslu2-linux.org), so that OM staff and other well-respected developers can have commit access to fix problems when I'm not available.MokoMakefileRod WhitbyMon, 24 Mar 2008 6:34:28 GMTEnlazar SCM available
http://projects.openmoko.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=402
From today the enlazar source code is available from the SVN repository of this gforge project.
The e_nm code gets commited directly into the enlightenment CVS. Eager people can find a git repositoty which I use as a staging ground here:
